Wild Amersham: Woodland Walk through Chesham Bois

June 14 @ 10:3012:30

Chesham Bois is an ancient woodland with centuries of human history woven into it. On this guided walk, you’ll explore what makes it so special – and why protecting it matters.

Join woodland expert John Morris to learn about the trees and wildlife that call this wood home, how people have used it through the ages, and the real challenges of managing and conserving ancient woodland today.

John has spent over 40 years advising on and assisting with woodland management across the Chilterns. He led the Chiltern Society’s Small Woodlands Project and then the Chiltern Woodlands Project, and now leads volunteer groups for the Royal Forestry Society and the Chiltern Society. This walk is organised by Wild Amersham.

Some of the walk will be on steep and uneven ground. Children and well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome.

Attendance is free but we ask for a donation of £5 is asked to help cover costs.
